Following Germany’s initiative to hold a special meeting of the Human Rights Council regarding recent events in Iran as well as the repetition of baseless and interventionist remarks by German officials, German Ambassador to Iran Hans-Udo Muzel was summoned by the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Monday.
Iran’s strong protest against the interventionist and baseless remarks made by the German authorities was communicated to the German ambassador.
He was also briefed on the fact that the recent resolution of the special meeting of the Human Rights Council is a wrong step based on a purely political and instrumental approach to human rights and is fundamentally rejected, and Iran will not cooperate with any mechanism defined.
The cooperation of Germany and other European countries with the US’ unilateral sanctions, which has caused gross violations of the human rights of the Iranians, makes them not qualified for raising human rights claims.
