Iranian Foreign Minister Abas Araghchi expressed on Sunday Iran’s willingness to achieve a just and balanced agreement over its nuclear program, as he said that the date of next round will be announced soon.
Speaking at the annual meeting of Tehran Dialogue Forum, which got underway in the Iranian capital on Sunday, May 18, Araghchi stressed that any deal must respect Tehran’s nuclear rights and guarantee the comprehensive and verifiable lifting of sanctions.
The event has convened 200 delegations, including high-ranking officials from 53 countries, ministers and decision-makers from the Persian Gulf region, as well as representatives of the United Nations.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the forum, the top Iranian diplomat said next round of negotiations will probably be held soon, adding that the time and location of the talks will be made public later.

Asked if Oman has relayed any message from the US to Iran, the foreign minister said, “We have not received any written message from Oman.”
Iran and the US have held four rounds of talks since April 12, mediated by Oman, with the purpose of reaching a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on Tehran.
Iran Neither Seeks Nor Believes in Building Nuclear Weapon: President
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also addressed the forum, as he asserted the Islamic Republic’s right to use peaceful nuclear technology for vital sectors, while reiterating that the country neither seeks nor believes in nuclear weapons.

He stressed that Iran’s religious beliefs forbid the development of nuclear weapons — weapons capable of destroying humanity and offering nothing but brutality for the planet’s future.
Referring to persistent accusations from some Western powers, Pezeshkian said, “Others continue to claim that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons. These are nothing but baseless, warmongering allegations.”
