Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation
President Aoun, for his part, underscored the growing strength of Lebanese-Kuwaiti relations, describing them as deeply rooted and built on solid foundations of mutual respect, sovereignty, and cooperation. He highlighted Lebanon’s commitment to enhancing bilateral coordination—particularly in combating drug trafficking and addressing shared security threats.
Visit to Speaker Berri
Later, Minister Al-Sabah met with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in the presence of Kuwait’s Chargé d’Affaires in Beirut, Counselor Yassin Al-Majed. The meeting addressed regional developments and the state of Lebanese-Kuwaiti relations.

Following the talks, Al-Sabah said the visit affirms Kuwait’s unwavering support for Lebanon, led by His Highness the Amir.
“Lebanon has always stood by Kuwait—and we believe its challenges will be resolved. I’m here to greet Speaker Berri, the longest-serving parliamentary head in the region. Every lawmaker should come to hear his advice,” Al-Sabah added.
Kuwait’s Al-Sabah concluded by conveying “a message of love and solidarity from the Kuwaiti people and His Highness the Amir to Lebanon and its people,” affirming, “Lebanon will remain Lebanon, and Syria will remain Syria.”
