International Monetary Fund chief Kristalina Georgieva said Friday that the global economy, including the United States, has entered a recession amid the spread of the new coronavirus.
“It is now clear that we have entered a recession as bad or worse” than that seen in the aftermath of the 2008 global financial crisis, she said at a press conference. But she added, “We do project recovery in 2021.”
