Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani rapped Saudi Arabia for fomenting crisis and tension in the region, and said Riyadh has even contacted terrorist groups in Eastern Iran to insecurity in the country, FNA reported.
“The Saudis don’t have any way but stirring crisis in the region for their failure in Yemen and hopelessness resulted from their diplomatic behavior,” Larijani said, addressing a ceremony in Tehran on Tuesday.
“The Saudis have fomented crises for certain regional states and are pursuing disintegration of some other states,” he added.
Larijani revealed that the Saudi officials have contacted some notorious terrorist groups in Eastern Iran to foment insecurity inside the country, adding that some anti-revolutionary elements have also contacted the terrorist groups in Western Iran to work out ways to stir tension in the Islamic Republic.
IRGC Disbands Another Terrorist Group in Western Iran, Kills 11 Terrorists
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) forces disbanded an anti-revolutionary cell in Western Iran which plotted to sneak into the country for sabotage acts, killing all its 11 members.
“An 11-member anti-revolutionary group affiliated to the outlawed Democrat Party sought to enter Iran but the intelligence officials of Kurdistan (province)’s IRGC force monitored them since the very first moment,” Commander of Kurdistan’s IRGC force Brigadier General Mohammad Hussein Rajabi told FNA on Tuesday.
Noting that the IRGC forces blocked the group’s move towards their destination and pushed them towards Kouhsalan district of Sarvabad region after 10 days of tracing, he said, “It was there that our forces killed all the 11 members of the team.”
