The Lebanese ministry of public health issued on Tuesday its daily report in which it announced 1809 new coronavirus cases, 1763 of them for locals and 46 for arrivals, raising total to 73995.
The daily report indicated an unprecedented, sharp increase in the number of coronavirus cases amid governmental attempts to curb the pandemic outbreak by closing the highly-infected towns.
The report added that 14320 PCR tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 36803.
According to the report, 11 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 590.
