A senior Hezbollah official stressed on Sunday that the Israeli threats against Lebanon are worthless. The remarks have been translated into actions throughout the last day of 2023, as the resistance fighters pressed on with strikes against Israeli sites at the border with occupied Palestine.
In statements published by Hezbollah Military Media, the Islamic Resistance’s strikes against Israeli targets were “in support to our steadfast Palestinian people in Gaza and in solidarity with their courageous and honorable resistance.”
At 12:20 on Sunday, direct hits were recorded as the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted Hanita Israeli site.
Later at 15:30, the resistance fighters targeted Al-Abbas military site with appropriate weapons, causing direct casualties among Israeli forces.
The resistance fighters then, at 15:45, targeted a gathering of Israeli occupation forces, near Hanita with appropriate weapons.
Israeli media reported that at least two anti-tank missiles were fired from Lebanon towards the occupied territories.
The Hezbollah Military Media published, meanwhile on Sunday, a video showing an earlier Hezbollah strike on Ramtha Israeli site in occupied Shebaa Farms, using a combat drone on Saturday (December 30).
For his part, Hezbollah Deputy Chief Sheikh Naim Qassem, stressed that threats made by the Israeli occupation were worthless.
“The Israeli enemy is in no position to force the resistance fighters away from the border with occupied Palestine and to return tens of thousands of displaced settlers to northern settlements,” Sheikh Qassem told a mourning service in Beirut’s southern suburb.
The Zionist enemy “is trying to show that it has the options to carry out an action that helps the settlers return to the north in a safe way, and to keep Hezbollah and the resistance away from the south.”
