Upon the request of Prime Minister-designate, Mustapha Adib, his meeting with President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, has been postponed till 5:00 pm, NNA reported on Thursday, adding that Adib’s request gives him more time for cabinet formation contacts and discussions.
In contrast to the expectations, the cabinet formation process has been challenged by a number of complications, including the number of ministers and other issues.
On August 31, President Michel Aoun tasked the former ambassador to Germany to form the new government as 90 members of the parliament nominated him during the parliamentary consultations at Baabda Palace.
